Time to Cruise

Being the big 4.5, it was time to go on a cruise before I got too old. Dad picked out a 3 night cruise from Seattle, up to Victoria and NaNaNaMoe something in Canada. Mom and Lucy came too of course. It was pretty cool. They had a swimming pool, kids area, ping pong table and other fun stuff.

We decided to check out the McMenamins in Troutdale. Not only does it have a Brewery, vineyard, and other cool stuff, it had a nice little golf course with a putting green. Lucy and I practiced our putting, although Lucy needed a little help from Dad. I was a natural, can't you tell from my excellent form?

So a combination of super contemporary, but on acreage is a pretty tough find in the sub million dollar price point but we might have it. We found the perfect house, on a small lot, and a perfect lot with a not quite the house we were looking for. Can you put them together and imagine the possibilities?

My Dad wrote an iPhone app. He decided it would be fun to write an app for the iPhone. He downloaded the SDK (software development kit for you newbies), wrote the app, submitted it, and people are actually buying it. Help me go to college someday. Check it out here.

We went hiking in the woods and saw lots of cool stuff. Including salamachigers. All the trees were covered with moss and it was really cold and damp. We almost got lost, but we found our way home. Can’t wait till the new iPhone 3G with GPS comes out.

I went to OMSI too. They had dinosaurs which really freaked me out, but they had other cool science stuff that I liked. I applied Kirchhoff's laws, made a circuit and hacked into the DOD. Have you seen Wargames? How about a nice game of Global Thermal Nuclear War? PSSS, don't tell.

Well, its not officially my birthday but since Saturdays are better for birthdays we moved it up a couple days. My birthday really isn't till Monday. We went to the spruce goose museum in McMinneville. There were lots of neat planes, and I got to see the Spruce Goose. It's really made out of birchwood by the way, not spruce.

Even more snow in Portland and a rant about global warming

It snowed today for about the 10th time even though everybody says it only snows once or twice a year in Portland. This year is unusually snowy. If the world is really getting hotter, I'm not sure why it's snowing so much. I'm sure all the environmentalists here will blame all the snow on global warming. What a great theory to believe in. If it's hot it's global warming, if it is cold it's global warming, if it rains a lot it's global warming, if it doesn't rain it's global warming, when it snows a lot it's caused by global warming, if 10 hurricanes hit Florida in a single year it's global warming, if no hurricanes hit Florida the next year it's global warming. You can't go wrong with that. But what do I know I'm only two and the debate is closed supposedly. We wouldn't want you to stop buying those carbon offsets. I'm sure nobody is getting rich off those. And check out the Alaska cruise photos to see that there are still some glaciers left. end Rant.
