I'm back at school, this time in grade number 1. I'm already excelling in shining stars. I have 5 in two weeks! I have some new friends already and still hang out with my old peeps. Check me out getting off the bus.

Well, I'm finally picking up the blogging again. Dad got a new version of iWeb and now I don't have to upload the entire website everytime I add a blog entry. About time Apple. Anyhoo, let me get caught up. I went to kindergarten, I passed, and now it's summer. Oh yeah, it snowed a lot in the winter and I missed a week of school cause of it, we went to Victoria Canada for spring break and Dad held a tarantula. The picture above is me near the end of he year with my two new friends who live close by are on my left.

We went to SunRiver on Vacation

We had a great time in Sunriver Oregon on vacation. They had a big pool, a huge playground and lots of fun stuff to do. We were there for 5 nights and had a great time.

I have my pretty furniture back

Well the new place is a lot bigger, so we finally got our furniture out of storage. My stuff survived the move pretty well. It could have been cleaner, but I scrubbed it up and everything is looking good now. We have an elevator which really helped with the move. We are spoiled for life now.

Due to the unstable housing market, Dad decided renting for a few more months would be a good plan. We did try a few lowball offers on a few places, but those didn’t work out so we are renting again. With rising gas prices, rising food prices, home inventory here in Portland is at an all time high, buying a house is probably not the best plan. Dad says not to listen to realtors but to look at the numbers. The Portland market peaked in price in August, so it’s likely that prices will keep dropping for another year. If you plot the Case-Schiller home price index you can clearly see that Portland like most markets experienced 2-3 years of above trend line growth. Although Portland is already off it’s highs by about 8%, there is still more to fall to get back to the trend line. We may even get lucky and the market will over correct and drop below the trend line. In the mean time we are renting a nice place with a cool little backyard and a nice kitchen and a elevator and 3 big bedrooms.

Since it's getting hot here, well hot is a relative term, I decided to cut my hair! I did it just in time to go on a field trip with school to a farm. Check out the pics!

Dad got to go to Germany for work. I told him to take lots of pictures for me. He did. He was gone a whole week and I missed him a lot. Here are some of his pictures.

We went to OMSI. Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. It was cool They had a dinosaur exhibit. We saw lots of dinosaurs and other cool stuff. See the pics below!

Well it snowed again here in Portland. We made a mini-snowman. Isn't it cute? Dad tried to ride the bus to the Max train to get to work since he doesn't know how to drive in the snow. It picked him up a half an hour late. By then he was half frozen. Then it drove about 2 miles and had to turn around because the rode was closed. So about an hour and a half later he is back home and drives mom's 4 wheel drive car to work in 30 minutes. By then all the snow had just about melted off the road.

I am officially 5 now and I had a fun birthday with my grandparents, aunts and uncles, brother, and great grandparents. We had the party at Pizza Harbor which is the best pizza in Seaside. I got lots of neat presents and had a great time.
